I wonder if 2014 will become The Year of the Begging Bowl? Last year we had Stephen Birch waving his about to raise Euros to dig up the Murant driveway. We have had one website owner making his annual whine re dosh so he can keep his hate-filled drivel going. We have had assorted appeals for monetary help for Goncolo Amaral over his court case and Tony Bennet over his fines for contempt and a proliferation of suggestions as to how to support these great lost causes. And now we have one Chelsea Hoffmann asking for money to help her 'find missing children/people'. I would have thought that should read 'money to help her to stalk vulnerable families', something for which she is famous. Now, dear reader, you want to help these people out of the goodness of youir heart. What does that make you, pick a label: deluded fool; hate merchant; wannabe philanthropist; or afraid of retribution if you don't follow the pack? You make your bed, so be very circumspect when deciding - you may well become the fool of the title of this post. Oh, a thought - if you have a few thousand dollars or sterling, why not invest in David Icke's online TV thingy? Maybe you would get your name up in lights as a supporter of what appears to be an incredible success an unmitigated disaster. Think it over.
