A slightly more interesting week compared with recent times. We started off with soi-disant 'policeman', a 'retired superintendent', no less, who posted up a nasty 'letter' to Madeleine McCann on a hater site which, when challenged, he described as 'irony'. By any normal person's standards it was sick. Which isn't really surprising given his fixation with pedophilia and a description on a travel site of the skanky BandB he runs in Spain. Midweek, guess who raised his bald pate? Yes, the 'in'famous shopping trollyman, now bleating on about a Downs Syndrome girl who was in the news a few years ago after being abused - he appears to have done a complete turnround on this one. In between he has continued his hate campaign against the McCanns, albeit hiding behind some of his deluded followers, who post up his ravings as their own. Various newspapers had articles which sent the twitter maniacs into a frenzy. On other sites old, discredited and often false stories were regurgitated yet again and on one a mod did a flounce - why do I think she has already done this not so long ago? Her flounce post, in fact the complete thread, was pulled but not before it went public. Meanwhile we still await the result of the Portuguese libel case which seems to be dragging on and on. The haters are now hatespamming Clarence Mitchell's FB page, what is with these ridiculous creatures? We also had the Ward of Court subject batted around for a bit - I do wish posters would look up and read information on such matters rather than offer theories etc that are straight out of Ickedom. It is now the weekend, I wonder what delights may appear in tomorrow's papers. I do hope the haters have got new carpet to chew on, just in case. Oh, and on Controversy the infighting still carries on and on.
Stop Press! Did you know that the Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group (JTRIG) may well be Mccann trolls? You couldn't make it up, could you?
ETA An error, re the flouncing mod, it was in fact a different senior mod who had had enough. My apologies. To lose a senior mod is unfortunate, to lose two is downright careless.
