Well, my Take on Mad Monday certainly seems to have greatly upset some people. The insults were, as usual, varied in content and substance - in one it was suggested I was PG (Pam Gurney) so I did quick below the waist check and I am here to state that I have not metamorphosed into a female. So now that is out of the way, let's take a look at the latest fun and games. Here are some of the more juicy moments, not in any particular order. The punch-up continued on Controversy, and we even got a mention on there, or at least I did with a screenshot of the begnning of the Mad Monday Take. Almost immediately the viewer figures on here rocketed, very satisfying as it helps to be popular! On Twitter it would seem that most of the normal and sane posters have given up and moved on - the Madeleine hashtag resembles, as one poster put it, a scene from Bedlam. Thursday was a real humdinger of a day as the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, talked on BBC Radio 5 to Nicky Campbell about the McCann case. One of the 'esteemed' members of a certain forum even rang up to ask 'pertinent' questions - actually I think it was just so she could say she had been on the program. She was given the bum's rush and an edited version of the encounter, bearing little or no relevance to what actually was said, was posted on up on the aforementioned forum. Later, Nicky Campbell, replying to an insult on twitter, called the name-caller a numpty. Another idiot has twitted that he is putting the Commissioner on notice as unfit for purpose, which I think has Sir B either quaking in his boots or roaring with laughter - my bet is on the latter. Calls have gone out, yet again, to bombard the media who dare to print up articles about the case, about the BBC 5 program with hate mail. I expect the media will do as it usually does, disconnect the comments section. It is Friday, so let's see what happens at the weekend - make that sofa comfy and don't forget the popcorn.
