24 Aug 2014 — August 18th, 2014 was Chelsea Hoffman's last day on Allvoices.com. The company launched a major overhaul and restructuring. Chelsea Hoffman was NOT invited to remain with the new platform. Additionally her content was removed from the site. That's a huge win for the families and victims who were targeted in her posts.

As a bonus, she was also let go from the Digital Journal where she had been writing only for a week or two.

A tremendous thank you to everyone who signed and worked so hard to accomplish our goal. Job well done. The petition will remain open for anyone else who would like to sign and/or express their opinion about Chelsea Hoffman's writings. I see there is someone called the Bully Doctor who seems to have gotten embroiled in the Hoffman Twitter battles. She does seem to have mastered the skill of convincing some people that she is the real victim. I do think some of the abuse she receives is pathetic and unnecessary and harms the bonafide criticism which I believe she merits.

The trick in recognising a genuine victim from someone who has upset a lot of people and is being deservedly condemned for it, is to look at who is making the condemnation. In the case of Pat Brown and Chelsea Hoffman, you will see that the attackers come from a very wide spectrum because both women have a habit of making horrid comments about people coping with personal challenges whether that be a tragedy or a medical issue. With Brown it was post-natal depression and she has blamed the victims of crime on numerous occasions. With Hoffman, it was downs syndrome and umpteen criminal cases. Both women are seen as attention-seekers who appear to be oblivious to the hurt and offence which their comments cause - often to people who are already coping with unimaginable grief or despair.

It is inevitable that if someone goes online and makes controversial statements which are offensive and often totally unnecessary that people will retaliate. Some will even consider them fair game for retaliation (human nature I suppose). However, the McCanns did NOT put themselves out there for the sake of it and there lies the difference. People like author Rosalinda Hutton try to justify their cruel remarks and participation in orchestrated cyberbullying of this family by suggesting that they are "seeking fame and fortune" or that they are "cashing in" or "using Madeleine to make money" and it is beyond cruel.

What sets Hutton apart from the rest incidentally, is the fact that she wrote a book about her own victimhood and how people were bad to her and how much she suffered as a result. Yet she sets upon the McCanns like a rabid dog making truly horrible and totally false comments about them in an effort to hurt them. Then like Hoffman & co, she claims she is the real victim when people call her vile!
