SYKES' TAKE ON - THE BANNED ONE AND THE NOT-ADMIN CLASH - THE SORRY SAGA CONTINUES

Since I wrote the earlier Take the rhetoric and accusations have increased by leaps and bounds.    Many of you may have seen the advert for Twix, where one of the protagonists covers it with chocolate and the other one smothers it with chocolate.  Well, yesterday's shenanigans were a wonder to behold, a bit like that ad, as the Banned One (BO) screeched at the  Not-Admin (N-A), he bellowed back and everyone else chucked their pennyworth into the heaving, bubbling mix.   There were some (feeble and futile) attempts to calm things down, but to no avail.  Instead it seemed to feed the whole thing, rather like adding more to an already over-yeasted loaf.   There were screams about an email being sent by BO to some wannabe video film maker, and a strong snarl of denial with assorted swear words thrown in for good measure, and character assassinations tossed back and forth.   There were positions being taken, pro BOs slanging off pro N-As and vice versa, and then someone (and I have a bl**dy good idea who it was) cloned members of a forum not involved in any way with all this and then posting up vitriolic comments, which seem to have been removed, but not before the obligatory screen shots had been taken and the whole sillyness posted up on many forums.   This went on and on, gathering momentum as more posters put their points of view, and BO screeched and N-A bellowed back and forth, back and forth until one began to get double vision - and a sodding headache from the stupidity of it all.   In all of this nonsense the whole point of why we are here was totally lost; any of you idiots heard of Madeleine McCann or are your blasted egos of more importance than her?    You attack her parents - is their pain of less importance than you scoring dubious points off each other?   You  are all permitted your own beliefs and ideas on what happened, but what good does all this non-stop nastiness achieve?    It doesn't draw readers to believe what you say is the truth, it merely alienates them.    If the political parties in this small but very prominent section of the planet had not put aside their very opposite views of things and joined forces, who do you think would have won WW2?    Think on't and even if you can never agree at least stop using a worthy cause as a prop for your deluded ideas of your own importance.
