These people are reviled. It's fascinating how much they have in common with each other too............. it was heartening to see some decent people commenting on the #mccann hashtag over the past few days. Also the fact that in the space of just two days, almost 14,000 people "liked" the OFM post about maintaining hope whilst only 11 well-known haters retweeted a nasty comment asking for people to retweet it if they thought the McCanns were guilty.
A few of the people (non-case followers) who made supportive tweets over the past few days commented on the appalling hate tweets.
I know for a fact that many people (media included) avoid the #mccann hashtag like the plague because they do not wish to become targets for the loons and haters. Several have told me privately that they feel so sorry for the McCanns having to put up with this and wish that something be done about it.
