PJ rejects British joint research with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann

The Judicial Police rejected a joint investigation with Scotland Yard to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, but British police are "cautiously optimistic" to proceed with due diligence in Portugal soon, said Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Martin Hewitt. "Ideally a joint investigation, but the Portuguese police does not consider it necessary," said today in a meeting with reporters. Hewitt be guaranteed "within the normal European structure" such joint investigations and pointed remember "three or four examples" in the UK, between the British police and foreign police forces.

A new suspect is being linked to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the British toddler who disappeared in Praia da Luz, in 2007, referred to "The Mirror".
According to the same newspaper, the English police believe the British pedophile David Reid had taken refuge in the Algarve in 2003 to hide his past - after being arrested for sexually assaulting six children may have had some involvement in the case.
One of his victims have, at the time, claimed that man would never change and go back to "attack".
Reid lived in Carvoeiro, about 45 km from Praia da Luz, where that same year, a sexual predator have invaded the town, entering the holiday apartments rented by British tourists, and some abused children in their own beds.
