You will probably have heard of David Icke, him of the 'everyone's a lizard' fame. Last night we had members of Controversy (HoHo's forum/facebook) discussing his theory that "Madeleine McCann was conceived for the purpose of being sacrificed in a Satanic ritual, and that it's no coincidence her 'disappearance' occurred during the Beltane weekend, which although a peaceful celebration in Pagan culture, is used by Satanic cults for ritual sacrifice, the tradition being for couples to sacrifice the first born child." We were then informed that " .... following the Jimmy Savile revelations and some seemingly credible evidence of Satanism being practised by members of Parliament .... this theory does hold some weight..." Then we were told that " .... the kind of 'Satanism' said to be practised by the political elite of the Western world isn't actually Satanism in the conventional sense either, i.e. worship of the devil, and has nothing to do with Anton LaVey's Church of Satan either... The ruling classes are said to worship entities that prey on human fear and fresh blood and energy." Inevitably up came the Nazis and WW2.
Now I have heard of men built from spare parts, flying saucers, little green men, Daleks, vampires, werewolves, monsters of every size and shape, but these all came from the fertile imaginations of people like Asimov, Bradbury, Shelley and Co. I have great difficulty in imagining the Queen pulling on a 'human' skin over her lizard body every morning. But this is what Icke and his followers want us to believe.
So what do you think? That this is credible, or that Icke is, as many people suspect and some have stated openly, stark, raving mad and his 'followers', his 'lemmings' are as mad as he is?
