False memories - tell a story and embellish it more and more each time and you start to believe it to be true. Perhaps Ms Hutton should undergo a course of CBT to sort out her problems, clearly stemming from her apology for a mother.

This story still seems like a plug for a book that didn't sell very well and might as well be under fiction and not real life stories.

Incidentally, when Hutton was sharing her tale of woe with the local newspaper, why did she omit to mention that she was a leading light in the We-hate-the-McCanns vendetta, and a chum of the disgraced Deborah Butler, local fraudster?

No abuse, no beatings, nothing untoward from any staff or Nun's. Mind you the Nun's were strict on misbehavior, but no punishment was ever severe. The Nun's were kind, caring and professional teachers.

The allegation is quite preposterous, unless perhaps her behavior was very bad, which from what she admits, was later on in life.

She seems the author of her own problems, and still has some, in trying to extract money from the Church. How is the money going to help her? To wait 50 years to bring allegations is outrageous. No staff are around to defend the case, so the only "evidence" comes from the complainant, the only beneficiary will be the willing Lawyer in it for the massive fees.

The buildings were modern, clean, well run. Nobody ever complained about conditions. I know friends who were there as resident children, and the confirm it was well run. Yes they were concerned that they got treated differently to adopted children, but I found it little different, mainly as the Nun's were more concerned about the non adopted children.

Every body has to clean their own home, or did she expect the Nun's to do it for her?

This case is appalling, a child with problems was looked after, and only more money to cure her own issues seems to sum her up.  

By the way, her money in compensation would come from a charity that ran it, not the Church. So that's all right, the charity will have to cut back to pay her, reducing care for children.
