I have examined a fair selection of her tweets.

Many of the topics she covered, e.g. the blue bag, the buggy, the boot of the Scenic being open etc. etc. are topics covered in much greater depth here on CMOMM. Yet we were not targeted. Her unsubtantiated speculation about Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, such as it was, is only repeating things that have been on the internet for two or three decades. So it wasn't any of that.

There is only one thing I can think of that Brenda ever brougtht up that might have brought her to the attention of e.g. MI5 and Special Branch etc.

She claimed that she had discovered Any Tierney's Twitter account. The person behind that Twitter account, said Brenda, had admitted to being a 'swinger'.

Now just suppose that this holiday in Praia da Luz WAS a swinger's holiday, as claimed at the time IIRC by a prominent Portuguese police officer, I suppose it is just conceivable that that might have been a reason for secret service intervention. (Most seem to say she was wrong about that Twitter account belonging to Amy Tierney)

Against that is evidence that SKYNews had already planned, days ago, to run a feature on 'vile internet trolls', as confirmed by Sean Hyland = Laffin Asassin = venividici = pleb-nobby-Lobby, who claimed that Brunt contacted him on Thursday 25 September.

SKY couldn't get him, so maybe they thrashed around for another suitable victim.

The exposure of 'internet trolls' had clearly been planned for over a week. If only we had tape recordings of the news management team meetings at SKYNews.

Presumably handed in to OpGrange, though we don't know.

OpGrange have been aware since they started of the forums and Twitter and blogs and quite a few really horrible tweets, the like of which we would never see on CMOMM. They have done nothing about this for three years.

So, a week later, 16 September...nothing happening.

Another week goes by...nothing happening.

Then there is some sort of planning meeting.

SKY News' job - get nasty troll on TV

Times' newspapers' job - leak story about £55,000 libel settlement

Clarence Micthell's job - get one of the dailies to run an article by Gerry McCann (the Guardian agrres)

Gerry McCann's job - get ready to write article making comments about how beastly (a) the press still is and (b) internet trolls are - and go on the BBC and say 'haters must be punished severely'

Jim Gamble's job - make comments about how nasty internet trolls must be punished, stand side-by-side wth McCanns as he's done for years (having said in the past that paedophiles need to be treated sympathetically and not sent to prison).

Everybody plays their part, with David Cameron telling the UN that 'extremists', such as those who have question marks about 9/11 ansd 7/7, must be controlled even though they are breaking no law, Theresa May does the same at Conservative Party conference, and establishment writers Summers and Swan write a book saying that the main problem in the McCann case is the activity of 'haters'.

Is the scene being set for something?
