     Q:  I see a Chris Spivey has been arrested for harassment possibly to do with Lee rigby, wasn't he a McCann conspiracy theorist or something. The article makes him sound the type.

    Christopher Spivey, 51, was arrested at his home in Rochford, Essex.  Claimed in internet articles that Lee Rigby's brutal murder was faked.   Rambling post uploaded day before his arrest discusses his theory in detail.  Unclear whether arrest relates to posts or other alleged harassment.  A blogger who claimed the murder of soldier Lee Rigby was a hoax aimed at stirring up anti-Islam hatred was arrested in a 2am raid yesterday. Christopher Spivey, 51, a tattoo artist from Rochford, Essex, was arrested on suspicion of harassment via social media after police raided his home and took away computer equipment.     On Spivey's website, an idiot posted that he had been arrested 'illegally'. This is not possible as arrest warrants for suspects are issued by a justice of the peace under section 1 of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980 if information (in writing) is laid before them that a person has committed or is suspected of having committed an offence. Such arrest warrants can only be issued for someone over 18 if:

    "the offence to which the warrant relates is an indictable offence or is punishable with imprisonment, or
    the person's address is not sufficiently established for a summons to be served on him."

    So, Police can arrest you if they have a valid arrest warrant. End of. Sykes
