It all started with my sitting down, coffee cup in hand, to see how things were progressing across the forums. At first it seemed fairly routine, a few insults here and there, some misinformation being touted as truth and then, without any warning, all hell broke loose. Controversy was at the heart of what was happening, having now become a three headed hydra, with hysterical screams and comments flying back and forth. I tried to understand what was happening and finally, after some toing and froing across the facebook/twitter postings I managed to gather that there was a hacker on the loose, that hundreds of members had 'dropped off the radar', that admin were up the creek without a paddle - which admin I wasn't too sure - and it went on and on for what seemed like eternity. It got very shrill and I am afraid childish as each of the now three Controversaries bellowed in rage against each other. I did notice that one of these new Controversies was advertising the BNP and EDL on their index page banner, not a good idea. After a while I got bored so popped over to see how the vitriol was doing on Justice. It wasn't going anywhere as it would appear the antis were all muttering in their collective beards while there was no sign of any of the opposing crowd. It was, to put it mildly, dead as a drowned dodo. I don't know how that forum works, ie its situation re the forum providers, but I do know that quite a few forum providers do expect the people running these forums to keep their numbers up as high as possible as it helps keep the advertising revenue flowing in. I wonder how many posters/visitors will be on tonight?
