It would appear that the sudden dissection of the Controversy forum and facebook has erupted like a very repulsive plague carbuncle. The main protaganist to make an appearance seems to be one Frances Gallagher, aka foxylady\blondie, and known to one and all as The Irish Troll, who has been trying to 'steal' members from the other group by means of pms and emails. She is one hell of a fantacist, having been assaulted, I remember reading, by the reporters attending the place where Madeleine vanished, and there was somewhere a claim she had been 'groped' by the local priest. Mind you, I have seen a comment by the person who went there with her that she was pissed as a newt, but then does one believe him as he was also drunk legless? It has also been suggested she is a secret pro, but from what I have seen she is more likely someone who spins a yarn to please her readers. The vitriol being posted up surpasses anything I have read so far - though as one not 'in at the beginning' of the last 6 years there may have been worse. But this is bad enough; surely the posters happily indulging themselves in cringe-making accusations etc have long forgotten their original aim which, if they have is what happened to a little 3 year old girl. We all have the right to believe what we will on the subject of Madeleine, whether pro or anti, or even fence sitters, but what kudos is there at all in what these people are doing? Do viputerive postings, threats of calling in the police and posting up personal details and photos, accomplish anything, other than the more sane and uninvolved being nauseated and walking away? Perhaps I am, as I have been told, rather naive; in which case I wish to remain so. Trolls exist by being fed, we are told many times, so why do people still react to them? Leave them be and they will shrivel up and vanish into internet limbo.
