I'm very surprised at how quiet the media are in respect of the Portuguese police opening up the missing MM enquiry. Probably scared to say anything in case they are sued. Also hardly a word from GM and KM, which is VERY unusual!!!!

IMO the reopening of the investigation was totally unexpected by the McCanns. I think they are bricking it not knowing what new evidence the PJ have and the McCanns always want to be in complete control. KM spent how long going over the files 'investigating' and didn't get anywhere so she won't be any help if made an assistant.

IMO everything is going wrong for the McCann's, the libel trial, public opinion, the reopening, that they have to try anything & everything to save themselves.

The call for them to become arguidos comes from a former Minister of the Interior, so presumably he will have no input in the final decision. He's just saying what he believes. No power, but does he still have any political influence?
I agree with what he says, btw. All right-thinking people would want to see them thus labelled once again.

I don't see how this would make any difference? It does not change the facts. Whether they are privvy to what is said in meetings, written in files, the facts are the facts and if they are found to be implicated (which I believe they are) then it will be even worse for them, since they can't exactly run off, get new passports, assume new identities and live in Panama can they??? The whole world knows their names, faces, etc...they can run but they can't hide. They can't change or tamper with any evidence or information either, so I don't understand how this changes a thing. It's probably WORSE for them if they get to see what's in the files........they'll be completely kekking themselves...
