Michael Barrymore has been awarded costs against Essex Police.

Bennett is probably going to explode. I wonder if Barrymore will now go after Bennett whose unfounded lies are all over the internet! And this may well put the kibosh on Bennett's demand for a reopening of the Barrymore/Lubbock case. Sykes
Michael Barrymore entitled to substantial damages over wrongful arrest.
Lawyers for the former TV star will now press to get more than £2m for Barrymore, who says his career was ruined by the arrest.
