Yesterday evening I was reading some of the tweets posted by the twits on various subjects, IPs, hairdressers and what they said to so and so, dossiers, secret or otherwise etc and began to wonder on what makes people post up some of the things they do. Now I have read essays by eminent professors, medical pundits, behavioral psychiatrists and the like on reasons why humans behave as they do and tried to match their observations with the behavior on the internet. It has been suggested the wayward, cruel and often ridiculous responses are due to 1) bad upbringing, 2) lack of self-confidence, 3) being bullied as a child, 4) jealousy and envy .... there are so many reasons posited. I have my own ideas as to what may cause a lot of this, I will keep it to myself for now. So, I made a coffee and read more and I had to laugh at the IP posts; any forum admin can read the IP and full details of registered posters and also visitors and see if a proxy is being used or not. On here I get certain IPs which are not welcome and I nix them. Then I went on to read the comments re this (in)famous dossier that is now in the hands of the authorities, and someone claiming they also have a dossier which proves a certain deceased woman was murdered by, wait for it, them what is IN IT. Most of us adults have not, as yet, worked out what being IN IT actually means, but I gather that anyone who disagrees with the 'Party Line' is part of some incredible conspiracy involving governments, religious leaders, police, illuminati, freemasons, lizards - the mind boggles at such idiocy. (Oh, gentle readers, for those of you who wonder what lizards have to do with all this, it seems the Queen and the Royal family are in fact - wait for it - alien lizards.) All the paranoia is actually fuelled by certain persons who feed their followers half truths, doctored information and downright lies. All one of these manipulators has to do is convince their followers that they are a personage of consequence, a solicitor, journalist, profiler, policeman, teacher - any position that has some authority and then make them feel they are in the presence of the 'truth'. Then trash the reputation of anyone who opposes them. harass them, post up derogatory comments, personal information such as family details, addresses, phone numbers , work place, keep up the pressure, then start the threats. Looking at all that is happening I am beginning to wonder whether there is something else involved in all this. There are various substances that can trigger paranoia and some posters have proudly boasted that they use such items. It is not for me to accuse anyone but such thoughts do occur and are reinforced by behavior.
