Nor me Scoobydoo. I am certain that Brenda's family will not want her to be forever linked to the web abuse of Madeleine Mccann's family so it is a very cruel thing these trolls are doing by continuing to link her name with their sick Crusade. That part of her life should not be the ongoing epitaph.

Some are using her name to try and hurt K+G. Some are using her name and anniversary of death to promote themselves. Others are spiteful people who do not think. If they cared about her family, they would refrain from using her name, but I think they are incapable of compassionate feeling for others.

There is to be a nice commemoration for her this weekend. Much more fitting and respectable than using her name to score points and self-promote.

Apparently she has visited a p.a.e.dophile website which has used photos of Madeleine's face and was 'horrified' by it, personally it wouldn't surprise me if its run by one of her supporter's who are very fond of photoshopping pictures of Madeleine and her parents.  

Why is she visiting p.a.e.dophile websites? In all my years on the net, I've never stumbled across a p*do site

It is understood that both Poulton and Haydon are being investigated by police - possibly by two police forces - in connection with alleged breaches of the Malicious Communications Act. This may be partly connected with Poulton and her boyfriend Ryan being connected with the 'Troll Patrol' blog.

So possibly both the leading ladies involved in the much-trumpeted 'Untold Story' are currently under police investigation for making malicious communications.

I see James Haydon has been welcomed on MMM as mrjnh.

I understand that Sonia Poulton has been whingeing on Twitter, calling this forum a 'cess-pit' once again, and furiously denying that she has any connection with Royden James Jones, the man who appeared in Wrexham Magistrates Court last week on charges under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and the Malicious Communications Act. She has also publicly denied any involvement or contact with any other trolling or stalking blogs.

I have an update from those who attended the Magistrates Court in Wrexham today, where the close associate of Sonia Poulton, James Royden Jones, is on trial on charges under the Harassment and Malicious Communication Acts.

I am informed that (a) the case was adjourned until Monday 25 January and (b) that the police and CPS are to interview other witnesses - with a possibility of further charges being brought against him. Witness protection may have to be offered to some of the witnesses, as things have been getting rather nasty up there.

It seems that one of the charges against Jones is that he has been tweeting various people publicly calling them 'nonces'. Understandably, the police regard such wicked actions very seriously in view of the obvious risks to those so named by the perpetrator.

One of Sonia Poulton's victims, who was seriously harassed by both Poulton and James Jones, was Janette Scharenbourg.

Both sides of the story here for those who want to have a look - but they do give a valuable insight into just how nasty and vicious Poulton can be when she really gets going:

Social media company emails more than 20 users, warning them they may have been targeted by hackers ‘possibly associated with a government’

Twitter follows Google and Facebook in sending out warnings to perceived targets of state-sponsored hacking.

Twitter has warned a number of users that they may have been the target of a state-sponsored attack.

The company has apparently sent the warnings by email to more than twenty users, all of which contain the same details.

The warning begins: “As a precaution, we are alerting you that your Twitter account is one of a small group of accounts that may have been targeted by state-sponsored actors. We believe that these actors (possibly associated with a government) may have been trying to obtain information such as email addresses, IP addresses, and/or phone numbers.”

It continues: “At this time, we have no evidence they obtained you account information, but we’re actively investigating this matter. We wish we had more we could share, but we don’t have any additional information at this time.”

Among those who have publicly said that they received the warning are: Winnipeg-based information security nonprofit coldhak; Minnesotan encryption activist myriadmystic; Privacy and security researcher Runa Sandvik; and Austrian communications consultant Marco Schreuder.

Twitter is following both Google and Facebook in sending out warnings to perceived targets of state-sponsored hacking. Google’s warnings were introduced in 2012, while Facebook began sending its own in October this year. None of the technology firms have gone into detail about how they distinguish state-sponsored attacks from more conventional hacks, however, with both Google and Facebook explicitly citing the need to keep their methodology secret in order to keep the hackers on the back foot.

Twitter’s specific warning has sparked criticism from those who received it, however. The company advises users to use the anonymous browser Tor to keep their identity secret in the face of hacks, but Tor users have often accused the firm of blocking accounts that log in using the service, thinking they are spammers. Users whose accounts are blocked in this way can get them back by verifying with a phone number – and phone numbers are one of the pieces of information that Twitter has warned may have been stolen in the attacks.
