    *****ADMIN NOTICE******

    NEWS: PLEASE READ.

We know a lot of you have been deeply affected by the Mikaeel Kular story, but please think about your comments. It's against the law to write anything which could affect the outcome of a potential court case, and to make defamatory comments about anyone. This includes speculation about who could be involved.

We know this is an incredibly emotive case and as with all stories we really appreciate all your comments, but we will delete any which break the law and we'll ban people who do so repeatedly.

    Thank you.

I wonder if that hater-witch posted that with a straight face?

I think the irony of that post will have sailed far over her thick head.

Zora McCartney I think after the mother attends court tomorrow and charges are confirmed it will be wise for us to stop discussing the case as we'll be unlikely to find out any more until it goes to trial

McCartney is already salivating over it going to trial, it seems.

If the case does make it to the trial stage, I hope that McCartney or others like her in the area are not on the jury panel as many forkers appear to have already judged and convicted Rosdeep Kumar.

Having read the article that Sykes posted earlier, it looks like the press could be in trouble if this case gets to the trial stage. The Daily Mail has been grubbing round in Ms Kumar's FB page and printing all sorts that could prejudice any potential jurors if it gets to trial. Looks like Leveson was a waste of time.

Besides the spread on Mikhaael, I see they have targeted Louis Woodward, posting up pics of her with her baby and her mother. She's done her time, and anyway her sentence was reduced. Re this kind of case, I recently saw a most interesting Panorama program about parents having their children reoved as they had been found to have bone fractures. Despite it having been scientifically proven that this damage could be, and often is, caused by a deficiency of Vitamin D, it seems Social Services still ignore this. One of the children removed was tested and found to have rickets, he is now back with his family. If anyone wants to watch it, I believe it is still available on BBC I-Player. The Mail is the pits, they have had to settle privately more claims against them for untrue stories than the rest of the UK papers put together.,

Oh my gosh Sykes was I furious when I read that nasty intrusive story about Louise with a really horrible title. What should have been a private and special family moment for Louise, a stroll out with the pram with her mum, has been plastered all over the Mail.

I have my doubts about her conviction, but whatever happened it was 16 years ago - for heaven's sake they need to leave her alone to get on with her life. I was heartened to see that the vast majority of comments condemned the Mail for the intrusive story, and wished Louise well.

I'll have a look on I-player for the programme you mentioned, Sykes.

I got fed up of the Mail's incessant coverage of Z-listers like The Saturdays and the Kardashians long ago, but I'd rather see that kind of vacuous nonsense than the vicious, nasty piece about Louise Woodward. I hope Louise lodges a complaint against them.

    The internet IS being watched:

UK database for sex offences against children Jan Jamieson, Yes I agree, but allowing comments on this one case would put this whole page at risk. We have had a warning off police, for some of the vile comments that have been made over the past few days.

Anyone still allowing comments on this matter has only themselves to blame if they find themselves in hot water.

    From another forum, with thanks.

    http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/aberdeen/when-murder-can-be-defined-as-an-act-of-wicked-recklessness-1.46347

When murder can be defined as 'an act of wicked recklessness'
    LUCY ADAMS
    Wednesday 10 August 2005
MURDER in Scotland is defined as an intent to kill or an act of wicked recklessness.

Mark Bonini, 27, was found guilty yesterday of murdering two-year-old Andrew Morton because of the latter.

Paul McBride QC, his defence counsel, argued that the shooting of the toddler was an accident, not murder, and asked the jury to find him guilty of a lesser charge of culpable homicide. He said that to treat the killing as murder was a "step too far".

But Sean Murphy QC, the prosecutor, told the jury that to fire an air rifle in the direction of a child's head indicated that Bonini's mind was as wicked and depraved as the mind of a deliberate killer.

Chris Gane, professor of Scots law at Aberdeen University, said premeditation is not required for a murder conviction north of the border.

"The typical murder in Scotland is of someone who goes out with a knife, has too much to drink and acts in a very violent way which presents enormously serious risks to other people, " he said.

"Premeditation has never been part of the law on murder in Scotland, but someone does have to behave in a wickedly reckless way which indicates that they really don't care if someone lives or dies."

Derek Ogg QC, chairman of the Faculty of Advocates Criminal BarAssociation, added: "It is very difficult for a jury to look into someone's mind at the time they killed someone to see whether they intended for them to die.

"Scots law does not require there to be premeditation. In a way this is to save society from itself and avoid people saying, 'I did not mean it'. Firing a lethal or potentially lethal weapon into a crowd of people, especially where there are children, indicates a disregard for whether people live or die.

"Culpable homicide is an act that no-one could have imagined would result in death, for example punching someone who falls into something else and dies from other injuries."

Mr McBride, who described the trial as "harrowing", told the jury: "This is no murder.

This is a killing - an accident forwhich (Bonini) bears criminal responsibility.

"There is no evidence of deliberately firing at Andrew's head, but there is evidence of a man taking pot shots out of a window and behaving like a twit."

The jury disagreed and found Bonini guilty of murder by a majority.

Yes I really hope that Louise takes action against the Mail - surely they must have breached some kind of privacy law, not to mention the distress the article will have caused at what is such a special time in her life, a new baby.

ADMIN POSTS A WARNING Empty FOR FF's SAKE, READ UP ON SUB JUDICE AND CONTEMPT

Post  Sykes Tue Jan 21, 2014 12:53 pm

Chris Roberts I was a little perturbed watching Sky News this evening that the Edinburgh boy's murder wasn't even mentioned. They reported on all manner of crap but not one word on what I would have thought would be up there with the other big stories. It leads me to believe that because of the clear analogy with the McScam case that someone doesn't want a child's faked abduction and murder in the public's consciousness any more than it has to be.

Kath Hammett Totally agree Chris Roberts and voiced the same opinion yesterday and today so far I've not heard any reference to the case..

They really don't grasp concepts like SUB JUDICE and CONTEMPT OF COURT, do they?
