Good morning, dear readers, what an evening/night, quite exhausting. A resumé of what took place on the Controversy front. A clique of disaffected members decided to overthrow admin and set up a banana republic. Out went HoHo and Frances aka blondie Gallagher; in came, at the head of his ill-matched troops, one Dan Gleebitz, known affectionately as Danus the Danglypratt. A long and very protracted meleé took place, words at 40 paces were exchanged, insults and very crude suggestions were screamed by the new admin at the revolting members ending up in a mass exodus by the more 'sensible' ones to a rival outfit set up across Facebook Way or, in the case of a few, a well slammed door and a yell of "Sod this for a game of soldiers, I'm orff out of it!" It seems one of the later causes of the rudity was the banner, a tasteful red, white and black but, in my personal view, missing a crucial item which I will leave you to puzzle over.
To continue, the main cause of all this appears to have been the finding and outing of a 'troll', one named Waleed who had at least ten other IDs which he openly admitted - this could be a bit wrong, but you try sitting up half the night, reading and C&Ping page after page of drivel. The screams of 'pro-McCann troll' could be heard rebounding off the walls, blood flowed freely and heads rolled also. To cut a long story short (you may read a blow by blow account on the thread Paranoia Heaven) it would seem that Controversy is fast going down the route taken by The 3 Arguidos, which descended into rampant, self-destroying anarchy and closure. Now, there are one or two strange things here, and please forgive me if I err in any way, but how do members of a forum oust admin? On here I have members but they have no access to the Admin section. And as admin here owns the forum, only he/she can hand over it to someone else and walk away but not vice versa. So, who is this Zora McCartney who suddenly appears from nowhere and takes over, and whose admin partner posts up porn and uses the language of a sewer rat when crossed? We know that HoHo was backing up all the stuff on Controversy onto another forum; we know that two people are being questioned by police re the death threats to Kate McCann and possibly other postings on her site; and we know the police have been receiving copious screenshots of most of the material on her forum. I am not going to make any 'educated' guesses as to what transpired last night behind the scenes, that's not my style, but I will say the whole thing smells decidedly fishy.
