SYKES' TAKE ON - TROLL IN COURT FOR HARASSMENT/WANNABE BORING THE PANTS OFF READERS

Another 'troll' is up in court for harassing someone on twitter with venomous and hateful comments.   She already has a conviction for child abduction and her target now is a campaigner against child abuse, whose book detailing the treatment she received from her stepfather is, according to the troll, complete lies etc.    She was warned off re cyber attacks in 2012, there was a brief lull, and then she started up again.   Now she's being prosecuted for her nastiness.  It would seem that, finally, something is being done re this kind of behavior, which is a good sign for those who, having exercised the right to express their opinions, are mercilessly hounded by those that seem to consider bullying, threats and insults are the norm.   I think many of these trolls are dim as Toc H lamps - you may erase your posts from your personal PC/laptop/tablet and smartphone but remains in cyberspace, often courtesy of the post being reposted or tweeted.    Meanwhile another sad individual is putting up long and boring posts on her blog with the usual comments by 'admirers' but also with some very caustic comments by others less enamoured of her.   She really is a prime example of MeMeMe Syndrome, whining and moaning non-stop, poor fool.   We know child abuse exists, we know institutions are often the place where this takes place but in this case there have been many coming forward to say they were in the same home/s as her and none of what she claims happened.   As I said in an earlier Take, if you are going to fabricate things or lie, at least make sure you haven't moved the goalposts and dropped yourself into deep doodoo.   It is so easy to make things up, make yourself look clever and 'with it' so as to impress people, but it is harder to tell the truth and stick to it.  When you so fall off the branch you will find it very hard to get back on it again and you won't be trusted ever again by anyone with one iota of commonsense.  Oh, and if you are missing the mad ramblings on the wannabe's blog, I am told she is ranting and raving on twitter (or should that be twatter) against the mother of a missing child.
